On April 13th, voters across the 43rd Assembly District went to the polls. In the end, Democrat Mike Gatto and Republican Sunder Ramani secured the nomination from their respective parties.
This past week Nayiri Nahabedian, Gatto’s chief rival for the Democratic nomination, dropped out in an effort to spare local Democrats another primary fight.
Nahabedian’s passion, experience and ability to fundraise make her a viable candidate in the future. We have not seen the last of Nayiri Nahabedian.
On a personal note, I had the pleasure of working on Ms. Nahabedian’s campaign and am fortunate to call her a friend. I have no doubt that her passion will continue to better communities for many years to come
